64 Galaxie - found this inside the driver door

When I replaced the keyed door lock I found this lying in the bottom of the door. Anyone know what it is? It’s a stamp piece of sheet metal that is approximately 2 1/2 x 3” with a vinyl Piece riveted to one end.

It appears to be your vent glass and division bar retainer bracket that has loosened and fallen out. Any 5/16" set screws laying in the bottom of the door?

It's been many years since I worked on a '64 Galaxie door glass,
so I could be wrong here, but here's a guess.
I think that might be a guide plate that is usually spot-welded
to the lower window channel.

Look at the channel on the bottom of the glass to see if there
is evidence of this part having been spot welded at one time
close to one end of that lower channel.

there are no holes in this piece. It may look like there are holes on the left side, but it does look like dimples from spot welding, will check the channel when I get the car back. Having harmonic balancer installed.
