New member. Looking to hearing from fellow old school hot Rodders like myself. I am now retired from my archery career, and am now enjoying building hot rod fast cars. At present I have built a 64 falcon hardtop. Installed 89 mustang gt ho motor with b303 ford racing cam hedmen headers 650 double pumper Holley electric fans world class t5 trans with s10 tail housing for the use of bench seat. Flow masters homemade(Lakewood style) traction bars Holley blue racing fuel pump cobra r wheels bf's 245/45/17 on front and running 275/70/17 tires on rear. 8 inch rear with 3.00 gears. Car really runs fast, but wanting to upgrade rearend with 380 gears and tru trac locker. Have a explorer 8.8 in shop and considered shorten one side with two short axles due to offset, but this wouldn't allow me to run the wide tires I have on rear now. Keeping the explorer rear as is with 3.73 open with tru trac lock I feel is my best bets, even though the pinion will be out of alignment by a little over 2inches, don't believe this will :(:):)cause me problems. What is anyone else's thought on the manor? You may text me at 2053683164 jerryhill-of archery fame............
