Hey everyone, new to this forum and have never done this stuff before, always had someone else do it, but need something to do to keep my mind off my Prostrate, so I found this truck in a pasture that has been sitting since 1981. I have the front end off, motor/****** out and I have just cleaned 5 gallons of prairie mud from the underside, removed all brake lines and wiring. When doing that, I found wooden blocks between frame and box in certain locations and thought what have I got here, in fact I was about to give up seeing this! After several drinks and research I found out this is normal??? So, I went back out there and measured each location and everything is true, except the cab corner rails which I knew. My question is: the only rust is the cab corners and a little at the front of the box, can one remove the front bolts and just loosen the other ones so the body will lift just enough to get the new rubbers in and cab rails and not disturb the alinement or...... ? Not sure how to put pics up yet. Jp

Welcome, and good luck with your truck.
