60HP problem

I'm fiddlin' with a 1937 iron side 60HP. I got 3 of the 4 broken head studs out, 1 by drilling, 2 by welding a nut on them. 1 more to go.
Problem: There is a small crack running from the large coolant passage on the top center of the block upward toward the (exhaust heat cross over opening). the crack is about 1/2" long
Don't know if I'm asking the right question???
Any help would be appreciated.

i was just wondering if i can use this block with a crack that runs from the large coolant hole near the top of the block toward the exhaust crossover port.

can you post a pic of the crack? its easier to give advice when we can see the problem
