600w change in rear end.

Guys, this may sound dumb, I want to replace the rear end and transmission lube. Is it best to do after a drive when all is warmed up, what about the drain/fill plugs is it OK to try to remove hot ? Also what is the best tool to use to remove the rear end plugs, they are a square hole and just a little smaller than a 1/2 extension ?

I think its best to drain oil when it is warm, especially anything heavy like 600W or it'll still be draining when the snow starts flying.. If I remember correctly the plug is a 3/8" square..

Old timers flushed with kerosene. Get it warm take out the drain plug and let it drain out overnite.

Use a 3/8" drive ratchet wrench to remove the plugs.
