Be aware that bias ply tire quality varies a lot. I have driven cars with 6.00-16 whitewalls that wander all over the road, making the car a chore to drive. A swap to different wheels with other 6.00-16 tires and the bad handling went away, making the car became a joy to drive. Unfortunately I don't know which tires offered today are ones that drive well.
