I'm originally from western Kansas. My Maternal Grandmother was born in Johnson County MO, just east of Warrensburg. She was about 10 years old when the family moved to Kansas to homestead and farm in 1905. That predates the Model T but they had several of them I'm sure during that early Ford era. They drove them back to Missouri for visits and out to western Colorado for seasonal work that my Grandpop did. They also drove down to visit my Great Grandfather in Taos, NM. They had a few mountain climbs that they had to use the reverse pedal to get up to the top running backwards but they always made it. Going down was the scary part.
