purchased a 6 volt pos ground tach , 3" 5000 rpm from westach ,received it today ordered it with the tach cup and light kit ,very nice item looks to be of good quality, had a question ,called and pete answered my question right away .going to install it in my 40 ford coupe ,under the dash. total cost $183.00 ,

I have them on all my flatheads. I went with the bullet case and mounted them on the steering column.

I bought a 6v Westach a couple years ago and it is really great ! I didn't mount under the dash, but rather on the column and I can see it perfectly. Looks good at night also.

Pictures if anyone would like them. I have not been able to make photos stick on this web site for some reason.

This is from normal sitting position in a 37. Hose clamp and a piece of inner tube for a cushy. Piece of cake to install.

6 volt tachs can have a variety of uses besides a vintage car. It may not be cost effective to start offering a "vintage looking" tach.

Mike51.....

I know it's not Vintage looking but I went to Classic Instruments in Boyne City up here a couple years ago and to make up a 6v was going to be $ 800 ! So I went with WestTach

I even asked if they would make just a face plate that looked Vintage, but they wouldn't do that !
