6 volt amber light bulbs for turn signals

I am looking for a source to buy the dual filement bulb to fit the Model A cowl lights with amber coating in 6 volt. Does anyone know of or has used any hi-temp paint to coat a clear bulb?

John, Jegs carries a slip on cover for bulbs in a few different colors. For lack of better description like a light bulb condom. Best of luck, Clyde

You can purchase amber lens from most Model A parts distributors and you do not have to be concerned about the color of the bulbs.

I used a yellow magic marker to paint the bulbs. Cheap and it lasts.

My hi output clear tungsten cowl lights seem to work very well.
I am quite often waved across on LONG ISLAND by motorists stopped at traffic lights while I wait to make a left turn with my turn signals on.
I believe that's the main reason for a forward cowl lamp.

(This seems to be more often than when I am in my modern car with its LEDs.)

I got my amber single filements from http://www.taillightking.com/light_bulbs.htm. Don't know if he has dual filements or not. He also has the colored bulb condoms.
