If the wiring is in fairly good shape, should I leave the battery hooked up or disconnect it every time? No problem it just throws the clock off.

thanks

I'm guessing you only plan to start the engine on a few occasions over the coming months. The battery should not discharge but for a tiny amount used up by the electric clock, unless there is a problem with the electrical system.
If you are disconnecting battery several times over a season, you might want to think about installing a Master cutoff switch just downstream of the battery positive terminal and leaving the battery clamps alone except for when you want to clean the terminal posts and clamps maybe once a year.

If your not driving the car much, just disconnect the battery. Like others, I disconnect over the winter storage. Since I use my cars a lot during the spring to fall, I just leave everything connected.

Thanks guys, so the older wiring is not a problem? Like I said, mine has some repairs I've done but is generally in pretty good shape.
