59 A-B oil filter mount question

For a concourse ‘46 59A-B engine… When I mount the oil filter housing on the left head, are the three studs longer than the others, or are those studs recessed in the nuts? I’d hate to not screw those three studs all the way down… maybe screw them all the way down and then back them out one turn?

I’ve looked at close-up pictures I’ve taken of concourse motors and the studs seem to be slightly above the nuts, just like the remainder of the studs and nuts. I bought my studs and nuts from Third Gen and I didn’t notice if any of the studs are slightly longer. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

The nut has a step in it to fit the larger hole in the filter bracket so it seats on the head using the same amount of threads

X2, I took head nuts and machined them so that the thread ends cam really close to the head surface, and fit tightly into the holes of the oil filt housing flange.

Did they have studs or bolts? I took these pics a couple weeks ago of a supposed original 46 Ford coupe that the owners said had only 28,000 original miles. It is a Canadian vehicle.

A bit off topic, but has anyone seen the oil filter mounted on the left head, as far back toward the cowl as it can go? mine is right by the fuel pump.
