I have a 1958 Ranchero that I am putting a 351 Cleveland in, what motor mounts do I need? I am finished with the body work and under coating, and I am ready to get the Cleveland in it, any help would be appreciated, I also am working on my 57 Ranchero, that gets a 289 and C4, I am sure more questions are to come, Ya just cant have too many Fords in the driveway....

Use an ANCHOR 2725 (L) ANCHOR 2726 (R) Autozone or O'Reilly part numbers On your '58 you need to modify the mounts on the frame see the pictures of before and after. This applies to 1954-59 cars this mount can also be used on 289-302-351W swaps.

Thanks for the answer, I just ran and picked up the mounts and will get with the grinder tomorrow, I'll keep you posted on the progress, is there anything else I need to do to prep the 58 before I drop in the 351C?

I found that to clear the steering box I had to space the mount 1/2" off the block to raise the engine up just a touch and a 3/16" spacer under the mount to the chassis I did not have to cut the frame mounts. The oil pan will sit on the cross member without the 1/2" spacer as it is slighly larger then the Windsor pans.

The mounts I referred to are taller they are used in late Mustangs and 1984 MK VII's the guys on my 1952-59 Ford Group that needed spacers added were using the early style mounts which look similar but are shorter. It seems that "back in the day" the frame mounts tend to vary from car to car, when I did mine I only elongated one hole on the passenger side when we advised our members to slot the frame mounts the problems have gone away with alignment.Let us know how yours turn out so we can pass it along.
