57 with 312 rough when accelerating

if you only looked at one plug, maybe you looked at the best one! i would replace all the plugs to eliminate that possibility

If you didn’t change anything else when you pulled the carb, sounds like you now have a carb problem for sure. Who rebuilt the carb, and what info did they provide?

My experience with electronic ignitions is either they work or they don’t. Doesn’t mean the timing is correct (mechanical and vacuum). And could be a failing coil (weak spark, only apparent under load). But I think your ohm reading is close enough that doubtful.

Unfortunately, it’s going to be more difficult to troubleshoot now, as there’s a new problem. Almost certainly the carb.

try jet fuel, just kidding, sorry nothing productive to ad other than I hope you get it all figured out. how about some pictures of your car?

Did you just install the Pertronix now to try to correct the problem or has it been in there a while. I have found that when they go bad they can have very erratic behavior especially while accelerating and eventually just dying. Let them cool down and they can start right back up.
