I might be able to email you an illustration that would help you.....I would highly recommend that you purchase the ''THUNDERBIRD ILLUSTRATIONS & REFERENCE MANUAL"....this shows a breakdown of most components that make up the 55-57 T-Birds.cost is $10.50.....
the correct manual shows a blue t-bird with a white hard top on the cover. I purchased my copies (2) shop and house, from THUNDERBIRD HEADQUARTERS in Concord,CA
