Need help. My 56 Fairlane drag link threaded bushing hole is shot. The NEW idler arm bushing is very loose and won't tighten up. The repair kit does not include a part to rethread the hole. I know that a new drag link is very expensive. My drag link is fine except for the stripped hole. Being that the idler bushing gets torqued down about like a cylinder head bolt=can't I just mig weld the idler bushing to the drag link? Then I can just spin the new idler arm on and be in good shape. Thank you.
