56 factory AC setup

A friend just bought a 56 Victoria 4dr. hardtop that has a complete AC set up including the in dash registers. All of it is still mounted in the car. It also has a complete power steering set up. He was asking me what I thought they were worth. I felt this site was probably the best to get feedback as to approximate values. The car is rough but complete except for a damaged hood, windshield and a couple of windows that were shot out. Engine was exposed to the weather. Also has T & C radio and 3 speed with OD. Any ideas?

Yeah. Restore the car or sell it to someone who will. That's a very loaded car, on a unique body style. Put up some pictures.

56's with factory air are really rare. Have only seen one in over 50 years of going to car shows. 4 door hardtops are the same.

A friend has a 56 4dr hardtop with factory air and power steering. It is not going but is a project for the future.

The parts for the power steering and all of the factory AC equipment can be up to $2000 total provided everything is complete, and able to be rebuilt. If anything is shot beyond compare that brings the price down considerably because someone could not buy the "kit" he has to get everything needed. Buyers always pay more for sub-assemblies that have all of the components on hand because it is very frustrating to do things "piece-meal".

I agree with HRR, the factory air is worth at least that! I sold a complete 57 factory air minus the condensor and dryer for $1500 and was offered more after it was boxed and ready to ship by two more people. The shipping was high (close to 300) due to all the heavy stuff and the crate size but he gladly paid it.
