'54 Ford 4 way seat installation

I'm having problems trying to put my electric seat puzzle together. The seat ends I have have a wrap around tab that won't fit anywhere. But studying the disassembly pictures from 15 years ago I have a clue and need some assurance. It looks like the seat ends I have were not made for a 4 way seat. The correct ones would not have a tab but instead would be held in place by a bracket assy.

This is the piece I have with the bracket assy over it. I'm thinking all I need to do is cut off the tab, drill a couple holes and fasted them together. Could some one look under the back of their seat and give me some help please?

I meant to include a picture with the bracket assy in place.

Me too. The switch in my 57 seems backwards. I figured I'd just flip the switch over.- nope.

To the top. Someone please take 5 minutes to look at the back of their electric seat and let me know how the end piece is mounted.

Not sure is this will help, since it is on a Mercury and not a Ford. But here are a few pictures of mine.

Thanks. The Ford & Merc are exactly the same. I was looking for a picture of the rear corners but I sorted it out. I cut the green tab off that is shown in the first picture, then drilled a couple holes and installed the black piece that is shown in the second picture. The end pieces with the tabs are used on non-electric seats but before cutting them off I was hoping for confirmation.

GLAmes,

Here are a couple pictures of mine, finished. Until I took the pictures, I never realized the corner was not screwed to the bracket. So it has been that way, ever since I got it back from the trim guy that did my interior and top.

I guess it is just as well you didn't send me those pictures, I would have really been confused. The strange thing is I have a spare triangular piece that I think came off a '54 Merc front seat that I bought for parts.
