My fuel tank sending unit has a condenser mounted on the outside. I’ve never seen that before, not in the trunk anyway. What’s it for?

Mike , radios are used to fill the hole in the dash, but nothing beats the sound of the motor and listening to the "twice pipes" out the back.:)

Ya know, I tend to agree. At least some cars.
I have an Aston that has a great sound system. I rarely use it. Whomever designed the exhaust on these, my gosh, the person had "an ear" for it.

I had a condenser on my '53 too. First one I had ever seen, so I left it off while changing my defective sensor.

My '51 (which was very original when I got it) had suppression condensers on the generator and oil pressure sender, as well as some kind of weird black cylindrical "thingy" in the coil wire. Surprisingly, it was a factory "radio delete" car, complete with "blank-off plates" and all.

I've never checked the fuel tank sender.

Mine's a factory delete car too. But if I want, I place a little Bluetooth speaker on the dash with I-pod plugged in and off I go!
