53 Mercury heater switch

I am doing a restoration on a '53 Merc. wagon.I am putting in a new wiring harness and started looking for the heater switch and wires.I do have a switch,it must have been removed sometime in it's life and never reinstalled.Anyone that can help me with locating or selling me the correct switch would be greatly appreciated.

What does the switch look like? I have a Ford multi-position heater switch for a later Ford / Mercury. I won't be using it on my 1940 panel. I need the bracket however. I am looking for a correct switch for my application. When I get one, this newer switch will be available. If is not correct for your car, do know what year(s)/model(s) it is for? Dennis/Arkansas

That's part of my problem,there was no switch at all.So I don't have any idea what the old 1 is supposed to look like.
