Hi everyone, my project has taken a turn albeit a good one and I'm now selling the Flathead and trans for it.
1953 Merc 255 impeccably great conditon before being rebuilt by Morrison Machine in Glendale, AZ.
Required minimal machine and polish to fit new pistons and bearings, no machine work had been done prior. All the internals are of the highest quality Egge, Isky, Johnson, Manley you know..the good stuff. All the minor tricks done during build up to ensure long life and reliability like PVC, improved oiling, one piece seals all the stuff the experienced flathead builders know. The flywheel was trued, lightened and had the bearing installed for the T-5, then it and the rotating assembly were balanced.
It has new Cyclone heads a very nice Almquist two pot intake and two rebuilt 94's to go. All this including the carbs are polished pieces of art. The heads are center dump as well as it has the two bolt timing cover along with updated water pumps.
The transmission is in excellent conditon, and is mated up to the hogshead with a Mr. Dwight Bond adapter that mounts the pedals right on the ******, makes for easy installation. The pedals are in great shape but should be rebushed. No clutch or disc purchased yet. This engine is new in black satin hi temp and not been installed or run yet. Please PM me for any questions or picture request.
Thanks and happy motoring.

Negotiable. Have reciepts that can be scanned and sent along with more pics if desired.

Hi, I'm asking $600 for the ******, hogshead, Dwight Bond's adapter, pedals and bronze bushing. There is no PP plate or disc. While not sure of the year, it is electronic speedo and it came out of an Astro van. I can look again for the "tag" tomorrow and if found will get back to you. Thanks, Steve

Hi Frenchy, since the last guy fell out in March and never came through I decided last week to put the engine and trans into a hot rodded A chassis and put a 31' sedan body on it. So if you are interested in more than just a trans now, I can get together some info for you. Thanks, Steve
