53 fan hub: repair or replace?

I discovered top of the fan pulley on my 53 8BA is cocked about an eighth of an inch toward the radiator. Am I right in thinking it being that far out of plum might throw the belt? I know Vanpelts has parts to rebuild these but only up to the 52s. My 53 does not have the oil filler screw. The 53s must have changed to a sealed bearing. Advise please.

The 53 went to the late style fans used on Ford passenger cars with 8BA. The Ford car and even the Mercury fans can be repaired with a universal water pump bearing/shaft assembly made by NSK P/N 885586. I've purchased them off flea-pay several times. I'm not sure but even the Ford type water pump bearing/shaft assemblies might work but I haven't measure them yet. They might be too short. The universal bearing usually needs to be shortened due to its long shaft.

OK, thanks. This motor is in a 53 F100 and it has the wider belts on it but I guess it would have the same bearing/shaft assembly as the cars.
