My windshield fogs up when I put on the defrosters. I'm told this means my heater core is leaking. The Ford Shop Manual skips over replacing the heater core. Any idea where I start?
Make sure it is not a hose leaking. If you have a leak there should be wetness under the floormat or carpet. You could also have a windshield leak that is dripping down on the heater core.
Yes, it does appear to be the core. Check with the many V-8 vendors to see if they have a new core to fit your car. If not find a radiator shop in your area that can get a new core to rebuild yours.
