52 Customline info?

Hi everyone,
Very excited to be here. Just pulled my first flat-powered car out of a barn. 52 Customline Fordor. I'm here to learn as much as I can about the car. My first question is about decoding the patent plate. I found great info on the VanPelt website but it's missing a lot of the decoding chart. Keep in mind I know nothing about flatheads, which is why I grabbed this car up!

Here's what I've got, and what I've researched so far about the car and patent plate:
Patent Plate:
73B= customline fordor
C= alpine blue
There's a B2 in my serial #= v8 110hp

Driveline:
EAB heads (apparently it's an 8ba engine block)
239 cu in 24 bolt
8ba= first flattie with adjustable distributor
"78 series" transmission
Likely a 3:90 rear end from what I've read?

Any other info you'd be willing to provide is greatly appreciated! I'm here to learn.

Welcome Hoodooman! Appears to be a nice solid, clean Customline. You are going to enjoy tinkering with it.

You are among friends here...so don't be too shy to ask questions! You might want to include your location.

Thanks! It's amazing how solid the car is. I really can't believe it. I pulled the gas tank and underneath the trunk the paint is like new. The car appears to have had one respray probably 30 years ago I'd guess. Floors, supports, are 100% solid. Only a couple tiny rust spots in the outer rockers. jackpot!

Go to the Early Ford V-8 Club website(www.earlyfordv8.org) and purchase the V-8 Club's 1952-53 Ford two volume book. The books will answer many of your questions. I believe the book is on sale now at a discount.
