Hi all does anyone know if ther are any clearance issues with a offenhouser intake and eddelbrock 4 barrel carb set up for my flathead, just trying to be prepared when the time comes

What do you mean by clearance issues ? I had one on mine and it cleared the hood , and generator . I had a Holley , but it shouldn't matter .

Some of the forums that talk about this type of upgrade mention that hoses and gen cause issues sometimes and thy mention a tall adapter plate for carb thanks fo the reply

The generator and fan is offset a little over an inch. This causes the fan to hit it's shroud, if you have one.

Hmmm.......mine has a shroud , and the fan didn't hit it .
I had the Edelbrock manifold that Speedway sells . It was on my truck when I got it , I installed the original manifold & carb because I wanted to take the engine back to stock . Also , the stock distributor's vacuum advance didn't work good w/the aftermarket Holley carb. The truck runs much better , now .
