50 F1 throttle cable linkage question

Hey now

Ive got a 50 f1 with a 260 that has an edelbrock 1506 4 barrel carb on it. Im working on getting the interior back to stock. Currently i have a small spoon for a gas pedal and i want to go back to the stock pedal set up.

What piece do i need to run the stock pedal to an after market carb?

Thanks

The carb wants to be opened on its left side, the F 1 linkage is on the right. If you make some brackets that bolt on the carbs rear two studs, two rods with little rod ends will connect the car to the truck. Those rod ends are available in the little drawers at a well stocked hardware, or ask at NAPA.

Thought number two - - - - depending on the intake manifold, you may be able to install the carb backwards, then the pull from the stock linkage can be hooked to the bottom of the carb linkage to pull it open. On any Edelbrock four barrel, use an insulator under it.

you say you are using a spoon pedal is it a cable to carb? if so you need the stock linkage that mounts to firewall looks sort of like a larger version of a z bar I may have one from a 52 I will have to look pm me if you need it this also holds the firewall insulation in the cab

The head of the spoon is small enough that a stock pedal would "hide it" so if it works good the way it is just bolt down a stock pedal.
