I'm not sure if this is an original equipment front wheel cylinder. i dont see Ford on it any where at least. but i am looking for a bleeder screw for it. it was broke off but came out easy. the wheel cylinder is good and usable. went to Napa and all i got was a stupid look when i asked for a bleeder screw... anyone know where i can get one? maybe a wheel cylinder rebuild kit would have one?
thanks

Any good auto parts store should have them. I noticed an assortment including a dorman version of a speed bleeder in autozone the other day

Check the threads first! Almost all the aftermarket replacements have metric bleeders, including NAPA's. Kind of irritating to need metric tools on an otherwise SAE truck.

I have speed-bleeders on my '51, so the right size is available. I love 'em. The only problem was that they were a little longer than stock, so I had to loosen the WC mounting screws to move them out a little to get clearance to get them in. Wasn't bad, once I figured out what had to be done. This is not a problem if the cylinders are off the car. They make flushing the system every 8-10 years a job you don't mind doing.

out of stupidity, i picked up a napa wheel cylinder when i was looking for a bleeder screw the other day. im going to go back and throw it through their window. 10mm wrench for bleeder which was irritating enough. Then had to leave a wheel cylinder mounting bolt out to open and close the bleeder. rediculous.

thanks for your answers guys. never heard of speed bleeders. will see if i can find the right ones.

Are you sure you got the right wheel cylinder? UP9090 left / UP9091 right front. That's what mine are, bought them more than 10 yrs ago tho. I don't see how the mounting bolt could possibly be in the way?

yes sir, 9090 on the left. I'll take a look at it again in the morning. That pic shows there should be plenty of room.
