Here you go fellas..... my 48 Merc Coupe -

I may trade this for a pick up as I always have use for one.

Where are you going to get a running and driving car for the money........

59 AB Flathead - runs, drives.
3 Speed - shifts good
Oil pressure 30 when first fired.
15-20 when warmed up
gas gage does not work.
Still 6 volt
Lights and brake lights work -
Signals ...arm .hand out the wndow
No wipers

Many things have been done to the car in the last 2 years

New.....
New Poly gas Tank
New brake lines, brakes good.
Has headers ....
New exhaust pipes- no mufflers, pipes exit out below the rear bumper. Has a nice sound.
New Clutch , fly wheel
New Electronic fuel pump
New Carburetor
New battery

Cool Blanket interior. No headliner or door panels.
Glass in drivers door is out- needs replaced - I have the cracked glass, just needs to have a glass shop cut you a new one. EZ flat glass.

Pictures of the floor and rockers.........
Frame is solid.
Floor patching needed IF you want to.
The pictures of the Rockers is typical sheet metal rust.
Bob Drake sells replacement rockers for I think $ 70.00 a pair
https://www.bobdrake.com/ItemForm.aspx?Item=11A-7010110/1
48 Ford and Merc are the same.
The frame is solid.

It has been lowered a little with a few springs removed.
The hood and trunk springs are weak and require a rod to hold them up.
The trunk picture with the floor opening is where the spare tire cup was.
The hood wire release is gone.
The safety latch keeps the hood down.
I just drive it as you see it.
If it sits for a while - sometimes have to squirt a little gas down the carb to prime / fire her up.
No bright paint or chrome anywhere.
2 years ago at Goodguys, I had more people take pictures of my car than the 32 and 40 Ford sitting on each side of it.
"cool"

With any flatty.......
Drove mostly around town during the summer 45- 50 mph tops as it's geared pretty low.
The highest the temp gage got was 3/4 ( never over heated ) on the hottest days.
I've never had on the interstate.
Has older bias plys whites.....no hubcaps

Pricing it to sell $ 4,500
I may trade for a pick up - hit me up
/ cash talks

It's a old coupe so no warranties on anything.

This would make a great father/son education to a son of the way it was.

You probably would want to trailer home to your place and have a blast cruising around your town.
Like I said I cruised around town - I never took it on a long trip or the interstate.

I have more detailed pics if you send me your email

I have a clear title in my name.
