48 Ford car rear brake drums.

My car has the rear hubs on outside of drums. Can I use the drums that mounted outside of hub on my hubs. Can't find any inside drums. thanks

Steve, I would say no but I am no expert. Have you tried Joblot in NYC, they had both.

Looking on the inside of the brake drum, the wheel stud goes through the brake drum first and then through the hub? Are you familiar with the swedging process for the wheel studs for drums on the inside of hubs? There is no getting around doing that with drums on the inside.
I called Joblot about a month ago and they didn't have any drums to go on the inside of the hubs and James didn't know when they would be getting any. Might try Richard at early V8 garage in Ca. Or Joe's in Uxbrige Ma.

Yes. They are simply a different design. They fit and function identical to the earlier design.
