I am trying to find out where my 48 fordor Super delux was built. I have the vin # 899A2291028 that indicates late 48. I thought that because it had original tube shocks not friction shocks. The data plate on the firewall was gone. Thanks for any help I might get
If the patent plate is gone, there may be no way.
The # is actually the engine/trans number, stamped in sequence at the engine plant at Rouge and then copied onto the frame at whatever assembly plant got that engine.
