Will a 47 Ford truck cab bolt to a 41 frame? Are they the same cab? I know the gas tank is in a different locationbut anyting else different? Thanks for any info.

I'm not an expert on the 41 cabs, but the mounts from a 42-47 cab should be the same, but i do know that the seat brackets are different because of the gas tank is inside on a 42-47 and the 40/41 is not. Ken

BE sure to buy new cab wood for mounting the cab to the 1941 frame. You will likely have to tweak the wood in a few places to use the later cab but no big deal... time and patience will likely get it done. I've done several. Good luck. Al

The 42-47 has "Ford" script stamped into the dash, the 1940 and 1941 used emblems. The door rubber bumpers are different, 1940-42 used the 1937-48 passenger style, 1944-47 used the 1932-36 passenger style (big woo). Likely there are other small differences

I did not know the frames were the same. I was about to offer to sell him the frame from a 47 pu. Rod

Thanks, yes I meant the chassis frame. I was thinking so based on the 42-47 spring configuration, but I definately don't know it all. Rod

I thought all the '42-'47 cab were flat across the center of the dash, the '40 cabs had a raised rectangular area for the plated "Ford" script, the '41 cabs were flat with 2 holes for the rectangular plated "Ford" plate and the '42 -'47 cabs were flat and plain I believe.
Thanks, Paul J.

My truck does not have the embossed FORD in the dash. Never seen one. I do know that the 40/41 has the emblem for the dash. I can't wait till the fall. I'm going to start to tear the white 47 down to repaint and all new interior in all black!! Ken
