47 Ford steering column removal

Hi, guys.

Steering column lock is locked on my '47 Ford...(original key, just won't unlock any more)

Can I remove the mast jacket with the locked column drop in its locked position?

Somebody must have done this...

Cam for the locking mechanisim goes thru the mast jacket. Lock smith as was posted or try some penatrent in the lock as well. Or maybe the key is just worn out.
 
Why not just pull the cylinder. Then you can reach in with a small screwdriver and slide the lock to the right. The cylinder removal process is simple and has been posted here again recently. Let me know if you can't find it.

Removing the lock cyl was the easy part. Getting the slide mechanism to move took alot of work. Rod
