47 Ford starter removal

I need help on how to remove the starter on my 47 Fordor. I owned one in high school and remember replacing the starter, the bad news, that was over 50 years ago and I don't remember how I did it!! I have a shop manual, no help, I searched the web, no luck, can anyone help with any kind of manual or directions? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sure. There are two long bolts that run from the forward end plate of the starter and go all the way through the starter and into the mount for the starter. There should also be a short bracket attached to one of the long bolts going to one of the oil pan bolt next to it. When removing the starter, just undo the long bolts enough to release it from the mount. Pull them all the way out, and the starter falls apart.

Thanks for the reply, after reading the Ford Truck Forum and climbing under the car I remembered there are only two bolt and no bracket to the pan. Someone must have left if off. Thanks again for the reply.
