46 pickup stakebed

I am debating whether I should put a stake bed on my 1946 pickup rather than purchasing a new standard pickup box. If I do a stakebed how do I build it?
 
I've never seen any plans for building a stake bed. I would go to a custom utility trailer builder and look at their raw frames and that should give you a good idea what size tubing to use and how to put one together.
 
Not mine but its a '46 1/2T. Stake beds are pretty simple. Usually just a fairly simple rectangular frame of wood or metal that is blocked up off the frame. If you want to get fancy you can radius the corners. This one looks to have a metal frame as well as a smooth floor of some kind. Some Ford 1/2 t stake beds have a standard looking rear fender with the top made flat to fit under the bed and they look cool. Check out Google and I bet you will find some ideas.
