Thank you oldskool and Al, Two questions, oldskool, what steering column did you use and how did you adapt the original steering wheel? Al, do you want to sell dash parts?

tom the columm is original but it has a after market drop as I have a 50 olds engine:eek:

oldskool-I'm not planning to sell parts right away,I haven't decided on what to do with the car yet.The parts are unused,no screws in the mounting holes, etc.I'll try to keep you in mind if I do.

I believe tom34ford was interested not me

Macs does not have the MERC radio grille,it fits merc, but their radio grille is Ford.Different shapes.

Has anyone bought or seen those reproduction dash pieces for a Mercury? The pictures in the ads don't do much good, I was wondering if they were worth messing with.

They were reproduced once by the late Jack Karlskind, in a limited number to allow him to recoup the cost of the set he needed for his car. I'm pretty sure none remain of that batch. He advertised them in the V8 Times for several years.

I bought NOS dash plastic for my 47 ford woodie and was told that it is actually for Merc. I think I still have it and will check if you are interested.
Chuck
