46' Ford Torque Tube Parts Question

What purpose does part # 4513 in the tube parts drawing serve? Why does it look like it's not installed in the other picture? I am trying to round up the right parts for my 46' trans install and it just seems like you wouldn't need it. But I'm no expert. Thanks.

Part #4513 is inside the u joint housing ball cap.... Make sure the hole in #4513 lines up with the grease fitting on the Ujoint housing cap....There is a special oil that lubes the Ujoint.....On a side note that picture shows 2 body mounts located on the frame just behind the ujoint....they are not required and were never installed from the factory .....

The clamshell halves maintain the "centered" position of the torque tube at the outside while the pt. no. 4513 is the inside "centering" device. The 4513 absorbs the shock from applications of power to the rear wheels as they thrust forward. It is a vital part of the assembly.
