Is it possible to cut the drum and hub together rather than removing the drum from the hub. I checked one shop with a brake lathe and he didn`t have anyway to center up the hub. The drums I have use studs pressed in from the back side. Hub has the round plate.
You always turn those drums as a drum/hub UNIT....DO NOT separate! Now, most shops today do not have the arbor required to hold that hub. Many times, shops that do VW drums have the needed tool. Look around for an old shop, especially with old guys doin' the wrenching. They are STILL out there. You might even try shops that do big trucks. Whatever you do, do NOT let someone talk you into separating the drum and hub. DD
They have to be turned together. Unless you are in the witness protection program add your general location to your profile and maybe someone will suggest a place near to you that can do the work.Is it possible to cut the drum and hub together rather than removing the drum from the hub.
