hi v8ers,a few weeks ago i asked about if there was a smaller ford heater i could adapt to my 46 coupe that i put a 39 trans in as the original heater would no longer fit because the shift tower was in the way.i didnt want to butcher the fire wall,i agonized over this for some time.i have a nos southwind with all the parts.but that requires a 3 and an eigth hole,some one suggested moving the original heater over.i decided that ill probably never sell the car as i got it from my dad.well i used the original left side hole that the tube comes through,cut the left tube,exteened it with copper tube and elbow.only had to drill on hole for right side tube and 3 small holes for mounting studs.it came out great! even though i hated to drill the holes i think it was the least damaging way.up here in wisconsin you have to have heat in spring and fall.thanks for the idea.im ready for spring!
