41 tudor

I am restoring/modernizing a 41 tudor Super Deluxe.

Very nice car, belonged to his grandfather since new. It was refreshed in the early 90s, was time to do again.

I am keeping the body and outward appearance as stock as possible, but upgrading everything. I have Nu relics power windows that keep the rear window vent function with window crank switches. Th interior is going to be ultra suede and leather, stock colors and stitching. Dash and window garnish moldings are getting woodgrained. Vintage air system will be hidden and incorporated into the dash. I have a Coyote engine and 4R70 transmission and a Roadster shop chassis coming for it. I am install Aultman latches www.triquemfg.com. If anyone needs a set, I am a dealer.

What was the trim with the super Deluxe package? I am tracking down the fender stainless(what is on the car is just stick on) and replacing the passenger side cowl stainless. I have the v8 hood badge. I have tracked down bumper over rider and 2 sets of bumper tips. The stock bumpers have been chromed.

I see pictures of Super Deluxes with side window surround stainless and front and rear window stainless....should this one have it?

I have a short dash center trim, but looks like the dash had the long one at one time. Anyone know where one is located for sale?

I ordered this grille from Alumacraft, it is beautiful!

Don't worry, any unused pieces are/have gone to 2 other 41 so they can live again!

I restored this 77 and delivered it to Florida,

And drug the 41 home. They both live in The Villages...a huge retirement center.

Previously I built this 62 Uni...

With a 390 FE and Tremec 5 speed, exlporer rear.

I have also worked and swore at a friend's Pantera, Including a complete rewire...

I have learned that Ford liked to complicate things, apparently for the hell of it. I keep an old school ford man on the friend list to tell me what adapts what to something else.

You'll find all sorts of combos with '41's. Mine is a Fordor and has SS around the windshield, rear window, vent windows, rear quarters, SS window channels, SS around all the windows, belt line and fender SS. I had to buy 46-48 SS windows channels because all the vendors said 41's didn't have it even though mine came from the factory that way. Also you'll even find different combos with the dash center chrome piece. Some as wide as the dash plastic, some extend over the dash chrome grill.

I have located the window surround stainles, front and rear windsheild stainless from Colorado, the fender stainless and the cowl piece from Cali. I have just found a right front fender top in Va and Left front in Texas. Now I need some really good or NOS rear fenders so I don't have to fix the rust and dents on mine. Any one know of any?

I have 2 fender tops coming and a left rear fender coming. Anyone know of an NOS right rear fender? Or at least one that doesn't need work?

The red and white 62 Uni is at the shop today for maintenance and tweaking.

I'm still cranking away at it. All stainless has been fit, then removed and polished, I cut down 2 speaker grilles to make stock appearing grilles for air vents at the sides of the dash, extended the lower dash to accomodate more knobs for A/C and such.

I have an issue with the clock....it doesn't work anymore. I think a clock shop should help. I need a glass for the outer clock trim...the one without the numbers. I also need the center that locks the knob to the adjustment shaft. No idea where that got to. This clock has the half round at the top with the adjustment shaft that sticks through the dash trim. Any ideas?

Mine has to be set/wound from inside the glove box. Heard some have the stem thru the plastic dash pieces. I replaced my clock with a battery movement from a craft store. Installed in the stock case.
