I have attached two pics, one is my truck. I am trying to figure out what the real story is behind the beige/cream colored waterfall/whiskers and grill center piece and the wheels? Someone here told me a story over the phone about this, that this was 'normal'. What was the paint code that corresponds to this? was the underlying metal stainless? On the sides of the grill, I have seen pictures (included here) of the farthest outboard grill verticals being painted? Mine looks like it may have been. But then I see sales brochures depicting stainless all around. Is it possible this cream painting was an option? Appreciate any backstory someone might have for me!

I don’t know how much of this applies to the trucks, but on the late production 1941 1/2 ton pickups, the hood trim (waterfall and whisker trim) were painted Tacoma Cream. I’m speculating that this could have crossed over to the truck production too?
