41 Ford pickup transmission

We have a 41 Ford 1/2 ton pickup with a three speed on the column. Was that the typical configuration for that year/model.
 
first year for the column shift in pick-ups, probably pretty rare as most still wanted floor shift
 
You should know all the gears, mounts ect will fit in the top loader, case and you can make a jack stand out of the side shift case, bolt plywood to both end, make a good place to keep; nuts,bolts, and tools when you work under there too.....OLD....BILL
