'41 Ford Pickup Question...........

I have a '41 pickup that is finally going back together. I'm wanting to know what the 1/4 inch hole with the cage nut located between the rubber bumpers on the side of the cowl is used for. I've looked at several truck pictures and they all have this hole with the cage nut.
I added a couple of pictures showing the hole in question. The white arrow is pointing at the caged nut hole.

My cab also has the cage nut. Because the nut shield is rolled on the outside of the cab I am guessing that it is to be used from the inside. Cage nuts are usually mounted on one side. Would make a good ground source.

Well I had a look and I have the same holes and nuts. I need to look at my Ford Archives photos. I am sure there are some guys on this site who may have an answer, I would like to know too. Lets see some progress photos, looks like a nice one.
