41 Ford front car fender question.

Did the 41 Ford cars have any kind of beaded welting between the upper and lower fender pieces?
I have seen them with and without.

I know that the stainless trim was an option. As well as early versus later. Just asking about the ones that didn't have the trim.
Thanks as always.

That's a great question. My Grandpa tells me my 41 is an early model and origionally didnt have the stainless trim. He added the stainless trim later. I can try to take a look at my car. Can you give a more detailed description of what you are looking for?

I am refering to the seam in your front fenders that the trim that your grandfather added covers. I have seen that seam covered by stainless trim. I have seen the seam with nothing between the pieces. And I have seen it with beaded fender welting in between the top and bottom pieces.
My question is did it come from the factory with the fender welting or did it just have a seam and people are putting it in there. I know you could upgrade to the stainless trim.
Thanks.

My '41 had no fender welting between the fender sections but there is a strip of anti squeak material about 3/4" wide

That makes sense. Maybe some people replaced that with the beaded fender welting.
Thanks for the response.
