41 door latch repair

Looking for some know how. My wife is getting tired of the passinger door always being locked on the 41 pickup so I orderd new springs for the latch. I'm wondering if I need to remove the window and track to get at the latch. All advise is appreciated as this is one job I've never done on one of these old trucks. Thanks,Tim

I think the spring that needs attention is on the back of the door handle which can be changed without removing the glass but the door panel has to come off. This spring holds the indoor handle in the neutral position

Thank you for the thought Terry . The problem is in the latch itself . The lever the key turns upright falls down while driving locking the door. I did find parts of the spring laying inside the door so I'm sure that the latch needs to come out.
