'41 - '48 Trunk supports

I just ordered a set from Dennis Carpenter, (the number was # 11A-7744200) for $165 delivered cost. These are for my 47 Coupe. The ones for the sedans are a different length, I believe about 2" shorter. The shorter ones would not work too well on the coupe.
When they get here I will let you know how they work out.

I just talked to the shop that is working on the car. The supports that I ordered from Dennis Carpenter are installed and working very well. They are new and squeaking so they need a little oil. For things like this I like to use motorcycle chain lube instead of silicone or regular oil because it is thin and penetrates well and when it dries it stays in place and provides lubrication for a long time.

I installed new supports and springs,

My supports were loose in the joint. They work fine. Got them from Midwest Ford in Springfield. Oh.
