41-48 ignition switch

Fellas, I am in desperate need of a ignition switch from a 41-48 ford column drop. Anybody holding or recommend where to find one. I checked some of the bigger Ford Parts houses and they seem to only carry the plastic replacement that fits in the metal housing. Anybody recommend a local parts hoarder?

Be advised... And I'm sure you already know, don't include 48 in that grouping. If you have a 48, it could be 'either way'. Do you mean 'ignition switch', or perhaps, lock cylinder?

Thanks 35fordtn. I do buy stuff regularly off of you on Ebay. I just a gas sending unit this week. I can send you a PM to see what you have

BobH, Thanks for the info. I always see it grouped as 41-48 but like you mentioned the 48 is most likely a different animal. I need the switch housing with switch that go behind the on/off switch on the column drop. I included a pic of what I am needing

Installation tip: I have done two of these switch replacements and they are usually upside down and in an awkward location. After I get the little rotating brush in the proper place between the case and switch plate, I place some thin strips of electrical tape along the edges of the unit to hold it all together until I can get it in position and have the two small screws that hold it to the column drop snugged up tight. When they are tight just remove the tape and you are done.
