40 windshield divider

I've got a 40 2dr sedan we're replacing the windshield on. I ordered a new seal, interior divider, and exterior divider post from Bob Drake. My body shop has it installed, but he says the only way he could get the three holes to line up was to have the antenna hole on top. This makes me wonder if he has the seal in upside down. Is there a top & bottom to the seal?? Are the holes equi-distant or are they staggered?? I am assuming the headliner is held in place by the toothed piece on the interior post which then should be on the top. I talked to Drake but they couldnt say for sure if there was a top & bottom. Help is appreciated as always.

The seals have a "top". They won't fit correctly if an attempt is made to install them upside-down.
I would suggest removing the center pieces, both outer and inner to see if the holes line up. If they do, it's just a matter of taking the time necessary to get them aligned and the screws installed.
Your installer might try putting long screws in the outer piece with the heads removed, install the outer piece temporarily and see how the studs might align with the interior piece.
If they don't line up, I am fairly certain drake would have never heard of that issue before you.

I don't think there is right side up on the windshield rubber. I used longer than standard screws to line up and test fit the divider assembly being careful not to turn the screws in too far to the point that they would dimple the exterior molding. Then I removed one screw at a time replacing it with the correct one.
Still a headache.

EDIT I'm probably wrong on the seal . Sorry.

Due to the curvature of the bottom edge of the windshield glass, there is a top and bottom to the seal. It isn't apparent until a pucker at the corners appears.
