The back windows on my 40 two door sedan don't seem to work just right when rolled down and back up.I can roll it down and then roll it back up and of course keep going until it moves back and leaves a space in the front.Once it does this I can't get it to slide back forward.I have to pull it forward to get it closed up.Is it suppose to go back forward ? I may be missing something on how it is suppose to operate.I am almost to the point of dropping everything down to take a good look. Can anyone give me some pointers on this?

Well, the space in front is a proper feature, which allows the window to function as a fairly draft-free vent for back seat passengers, but of course it is intended to roll back to the central position with everything closed up. I think looking at the mechanism in action is your best approach...probably something is worn or bent or full of crud, and you should be able to spot the problem when it is exposed.

It is worth taking apart and diagnosing correctly. My driver's rear window had that problem too and it resulted in a cracked window from it being in a bind.
