40 stabilizer bar

Does anyone have a photo of a stabilizer bar for a 1940 that is INSTALLED???

Confused on installation from stabilizer rod to swivel...thanks

It takes a special perch bolt that will accomodate the swivel and the shock arm - somewhat hard to come by but I do happen to have a set if you are interested - PM me if so.

How you tell the perch bolts apart is by the shock mount (there are numbers on them but I never can remember one from the other) - it should be fairly obvious that way.

Right hand perch bolt is # 01A-3032-C. LH is 01A-3033-C. Here's some pix. Sway bar will sit more level if car wasn't so low.

I installed one of those on my 39 Standard. It made a world of difference in handling.

More photos that may help. Please excuse my "Charles Atlas" muscular arm and Gucci shirt sleeve. As you can see the perch bolt also accomodates the shock mount and the stabilizer.

My 40 coupe leans like crazy when im in it; and im not that BIG! :)

I need to put my stabilizer back in. Thanks for the pictures, this should help me as well

40fordpu-

Enclosed are some pictures of a '40 swaybar on have on my '35. There are a lot of after-market swaybars on the market but you can't beat a '40-'41 for the "factory look."
