'40 Stabilizer bar work on a '36 chassis?

Will the '40 stabilizer bar work on a '36 chassis with a dropped axle, is this a bolt in or will it require some modification?

I checked on my '35 & '36 frames and the mounting holes are not present. I have two of these bars and they have different mounts; i.e. one has holes to fit around rivets in the frame and one has a slot. Could be one is '41, the other '40. I have a '40 frame too. The rivit in question is the front rivit on the front cross member. IMO it would work, but I can't say this from experience. I'd be willing to take some pictures or measurements so let me know if I can be of further Help. Dick
 
I used a Chassis Engineering sway bar kit on my 36 with a 4" dropped axle and reversed eye main leaf spring.Works great
 
I also used the Chassis Engineering Sway Bar Kit. I have reversed eye front spring and original axle. It really makes a difference in handling on the road!

Dick, could I email you a picture of the stabilizer, I haven't bought it yet but the seller was kind enough to send a picture & perhaps you could offer an opinion based on what you see as to whether it will fit. I tried to PM you but too many Dicks. Thanks, Bob
 
I asked the same question a couple of days ago. The perches are wider on the 37 up. Probably best to install the later style frontend.
 
To me it wouldn’t be worth the work involved.
The 40 sway bar is like a wire coat hanger compared to modern bars…..not very effective.

I put one from a 80's 4x4 ranger on my 35
