Those are after market tube shock conversion brackets and will fit & work on your pickup. Your pickup came with lever action, houdaile shocks.

On my 39 I got the front shock kit from Pete/Jakes hot rod parts, nice mounts to the frame and adapters to the front spring. Picture was in my last photo update.

Those are the same brackets that are on my '41. They bolt on where the lever action shock was. Be sure to pick the shock length after the full wieght ride height is determined. I used Monroe shock #5752.

Yes I thought the shocks they sent for my 39 were short, but with all the fenders, hood and a few months of settling there the proper length. It's a nice set up

these tube shock conversion mounts come in different heights so check how much up and down travel you need.....i had a pr on mine that where too short....happy motoring!!

Measure the distance between the upper and lower shock mounts. Jack the car up by the frame, let the wheels hang and measure the distance, add a few inches and this is the maximum length of the shock. Jack the axle on the side you are measuring and this will be the short length of the shock minus 2 inches. You don't want the car weight pulling on the shock when fully extended or bottoming out on the shock when bottomed out. G.M.
